Q: Are the courses suitable for beginners?
A: All our courses are suitable for absolute beginners with one exception – the advanced throwing masterclass.

Q: Can I book a course for a friend or family member as a gift?
A: Yes – see our booking terms & conditions for more information.

Q: Do you provide gift vouchers?
A: Yes – we provide gift vouchers for children and adult courses- to redeem them please visit the pottery during opening hours.

Q: Do you provide private tutoring?
A: Yes – we even count celebrities among our students. Please contact us directly for more information and pricing. Call us on 01622 790796.

Q: What can I make in a day session?
A: It all depends on the speed you work and the complexity of your design. During our 1 day Pottery Experience Day you will keep up to 5 of the items you make.

Q: How much would it cost for a group of people?
A: We offer various packages or completely custom options. Please call us on 01622 790796 for further information and pricing.

Q: Will we also have a chance to glaze the pots we make?
A: You get the opportunity to glaze the pots during the Raku Experience Day and during our Rolling 10-12 Week Pottery Courses. For all other courses, you select the glaze and we do the hard work!

Q: Are the materials and tools included?
A: All materials and tools are included on all courses with the exception of our Rolling 10-12 Week Pottery Courses. On these longer courses, clay is charged by weight for finished work going through the kilns only.

Q: Are the workshops accessible?
A: Please contact us in advance of making a booking and we will do our best to make any reasonable adjustments to make sessions suitable for you. Please call us on 01622 790796.

Q: Do you provide a kiln hire service?

Q: What if I am need of technical advice or assistance?
A: Our tutors can offer assistance on all matters – consider booking a private tutoring session to get all your questions answered.

Q: Is lunch included on the experience days?
A: Whilst refreshments including hot drinks such as tea and coffee are offered, food is not included on any of our courses. You can bring along a packed lunch or there are various options nearby:

  • Tea Room at The Friars – café (2 min walk)
  • The Village Pantry – café (3 min drive to village carpark then 5 min walk)
  • The Chequers Inn – pub (3 min drive to village carpark then 5 min walk)
